Start with an oval. Chaos's head is not a perfect circle--it is stretched vertically. |

Add the hump on top of his head, and sketch in an inverted triangle for his torso. The trickiest thing about drawing Chaos is that he has both a torso and a waist, giving him more human porpotions than the other Sonic characters. |

Add Chaos's waist and eyes, and begin a little of the tendril that
grows from the back of his head. Chaos is WEIRD.
The thing that makes him the most alien is his eyes. They are long green ovals without any detail or pupils. These eyes are the only things that give him a face. Added to the fact that he never talks, but is obviously sentient, makes him a great villain. |

Now put on his arms and legs. If it helps, draw a circle where his
shoulders and hips would be. On Chaos, you can see where his limbs attach
to his body, and he actually looks bony for a creature with no bones.
His legs are short, and always bent at the knees. His arms almost reach the ground, like a gorilla's. And like all anime creatures, his arms and legs are bigger at the lower ends. Exaggerate this as much as you like. |

Draw his hands and feet, and include some other details. Chaos has
three fingers on his hands, and two toes on his feet. He has a short little
tail, and little dewlap-things that hang down on the sides of his face.
As he grows, these dewlaps become more pronounced. Examine a picture of
Perfect Chaos and see what they turn into.
You might also want to draw some bubbles inside of Chaos's body, to show he's made of water, and sketch in his brain, a little above his eyes. When attacking, Chaos's brain glows a hot pink. |

From the side, you can see that Chaos stoops a little. If you try drawing
him standing up straight, he suddenly looks more like an alien than a monster.
He probably can't stand up straight because he doesn't have a spine.
You can also see how long the tendrils are that grow from his head. |

From behind you can see that not only does Chaos have two tendril-things growing from the back of his head, he also has two fin-things on his back. These eventually turn into Perfect Chaos's dorsal fins. |

In the battle with Sonic in the beginning of Sonic Adventure, we get to see Chaos jump around and do some fancy attacks. When Chaos jumps, he looks like this. Note the swirl around his head to indicate the glow from his brain. |

A brief sketch of Chaos 2. Chaos 2 is built very much like a gorilla, because his shoulders are almost higher than his head. The tendrils that hung down over his back have become shorter, and now stick out sideways, like a hammerhead shark's eyes. His dewlaps are bigger, and his arms have massive skeletons in them that make them stronger. Embedded in the back of each hand is a chaos emerald. |
