Rise of Death Egg Part 3 of the Triple Threat Saga By: Chris M. (Snow Scorpion) One up, one down, and one to go. With the Guardians at full strength plus one, they were all ready to face the final threat. They were ready, but Robotnik was far from it... Chapter 1: Problems "Why do they always win?" yelled Robotnik who turned around in his chair towards the security cam monitors. Nothing as usual. Wing Fortress was always Robotnik's favorite ship for some reason. He was glad that this didn't go down. He looked at one of the monitors and saw Robo Knux and that EggRobo talking. Thing was, he couldn't understand them. "Odd.." trailed Robotnik. He had set the EggRobo's voice to English, he copied the voice used by some computer in the old Earth movie War Games. The EggRobo was emitting clicks and sounds, as Robo Knux did the same. Robo Knux shook his head and walked towards his cabin. The EggRobo just stood there. "Get to my office now EggRobo and Robo Knux!" yelled Robotnik. "Yes sir?" they asked when they got there. "I have a job for you both. I want you to go to the Floating Island and do something for me." asked Robotnik. "What do you want done?" asked the EggRobo. "Well, actually there are two things. One is secondary so don't worry about it unless you need to. The primary objective is to get some parts I need. Take this disk. It will tell you what parts you need. Second, I'm sure you both know about the new Guardian." They nodded. "Julie-Su is her name. Well, Knuckles Echidna has been getting on my nerves lately. Bring her here if you can. That is all." finished Robotnik. The two droids saluted, and jumped out a door. A little while later, two figures flew through the island. There, in front of them were a few, silver robot parts. The EggRobo gave them to Robo Knux who put it in some bushes. "Primary Objective complete. Moving towards secondary objective." whispered the EggRobo. "I never knew being a Guardian was so hard." said Julie-Su laying down in her bed. She wasn't sleeping in Sky Sanctuary tonight, she was sleeping in a hut in Angel Island. Everyone else was up there, except Tails who was currently patrolling the island. Julie-Su yawned and put the covers over her. About five minutes later a figure crept outside the hut. It was being really stealthy. It came in through the windows and made it's way to Julie-Su's bed. It tapped on her shoulder. "AH!" she yelled. "Hush. It's only me." said Tails. "Just checking on things. You sure you'll be alright?" She nodded. "Ok, I'm heading for Sky Sanctuary. See ya' in the morning." About 20 minutes later two figures were outside the hut. The glow of two beady yellow eyes was creepy. It peered in through the small window and saw a pink echidna sleeping there. It signaled to another echidna, only this one was a robot. The EggRobo took the robot parts and flew off into the jungle. The other figure jumped in through the window. Three minutes later Robo Knux came out the door with a pink echidna in his arms. She was still sleeping, still unaware of the danger. Robo Knux flew towards the place where he would meet the EggRobo. When halfway to the meeting place, Julie-Su began to stir. She looked up and thought it was knuckles carrying her. But, it was actually Robo Knux. "Aah! Tails, Knuckles, help!" she yelled. "Shutup before I use force." hissed Robo Knux. "HELP!" she continued to yell through the night. With incredible strength, Julie-Su jumped out of R.K.'s arms and started running for the nearest teleporter. She had lost Robo Knux, and she though he was the only one here. She started walking until she heard a . "Tails, Knuckles? Is that you?" she called out. Something started to run from behind her. She turned around only to be knocked on the ground by a hand. She was kicked, then punched. She had never felt this kind of pain before. She was picked up and was held upside down. Finally, she fainted... "Good. You have done well. Take the rest of the day off you two." gloated Robotnik. "Thank you sir." they replied. The two robots gave eachother a thumbs up and left for their quarters. "And for you young one, come with me." Robotnik told Julie-Su. "Hey mon, have you seen Julie?" asked Knuckles who was getting worried. "Don't worry, girls will be girls." smirked Mecha Sonic. "Yeah mon, I guess you're right." Just then Tails flew in. "Hey guys, umm, where's Julie?" he asked. "I dunno." replied Knux. "Hasn't anyone seen her?" asked Amy Rose. "I saw her last night, but she was fine." insisted Tails. "Ok, you think someone was on the island last night?" asked Knux. "Hey, did anyone take those leftover parts from Silver Sonic?" asked Tails. "No Umm, ah s***." yelled Knuckles. "LAUNCH DEATH EGG." shouted the loudspeakers. With a tremendous roar, the rockets of the Death Egg sounded the air as the massive object lifted off the ground. At the same time, every power unit, to LED went out in Robotropolis. All the power was drained to lift Death Egg up and with all the power from Robotropolis, the Death Egg would stay up in the air for decades. Not if some brave teenagers stopped it... Chapter 2: Delight and Failure "...I repeat, all HoverCrafts load onto docking bays." Hundreds of small craft buzzed though the air and into hangers. "All ships accounted for." stated Robo Knux. "Good. Any other craft that come in this area I want you to destroy, there will be no one to stop us this time." replied Robotnik. "There it is." stated Spot as he drove the the stolen HoverCraft towards the Death Egg. "You actually think this will work again?" asked Sonic. "It must." replied Spot quietly. "I have a ship on the scope." reported an officer. "Good. Get the gunners to their stations." replied an EggRobo. All of a sudden little black men started charging through the hallways. They looked like those Death Star Gunners. Actually the suits were the same. Robotnik was originally from Earth and had based many of his designs of things he saw on earth. Mostly from a movie called Star Wars, and a video game called Descent. "You may fire when ready." echoed the command of Robotnik. Green laser bolts started flying towards the cargo ship. "Take evasive manuevers. Return fire." yelled Spot. There were three small cannons on the ship. One on each wing and one under the cockpit. "Gunners, aim the guns at the turrets." ordered Spot with confidence. Red laser bolts were mixed in with green ones. Ruby red explosions filled the sky as the battle progressed. "What's going on?" asked Tails who was carrying Amy. Knux and Mecha Sonic were flying right besides him. "A fight probably. This way, we can sneak in without being caught." added Mecha Sonic. The Guardians drew closer to the battle and entered Death Egg without being detected. Guns on the Death Egg were beginning to go fast. Robot Gunners were not always the best, but they weren't doing so good. They had only been able to damage a turret on the HoverCraft, but it was repairable. A lone figure planted a bomb right next to a hanger door on the Death Egg. The timer read "1 Minute and counting." About a minute later a loud explosion filled the air. A hanger door blew open revealing escape for Spot's group. He did a 360 degree turn and headed towards the hanger. "Dang." yelled Robotnik. "Oh well, I still have you. EggRobo, put her someplace safe." bellowed Robotnik. "Where?" replied the EggRobo. "In my room on Death Egg. "If it blows, she blows." he laughed as the EggRobo picked up Julie-Su and brought her away. "Ok men, look sharp. No need for casulties." said Spot as he rounded the corner. Sonic approched Spot. I better go ahead, could be a trap." whispered Sonic. "Ok, be careful." warned Spot. Sonic jumped down from the platform and entered a room that looked too familier. "WELCOME SONIC. I'VE BEEN EXPECTING YOU. SAY HELLO TO SOMEONE AGAIN WON'T YOU?" bellowed Robotnik's voice from somewhere. A large silver hedgehog floated down from the ceiling area and landed in front of Sonic. "Pleasure meeting you again." droned Silver Sonic. "The pleasure is all mine." replied Sonic who spindashed into Silver. The robot was thrown back into a gate as he got back up. "I can play dirty too." insisted Silver Sonic who curled into and jumped in the air while little dagger type things shot out in all directions. One hit Sonic who fell to the floor in pain. "You are beaten. No one can save you know.." trailed Silver Sonic who started kicking Sonic. "Except me." yelled a voice. "Who's that?" yelled Silver who got thrown to the ground. "The Guardians." replied Tails. "What have you done with Julie-Su?" asked an enraged echidna. "I wouldn't tell even if I knew. I was just recently programmed you idiots." replied Silver Sonic who was about to be punched by Knuckles. "Ok, he knows nothing, but I bet that EggRobo does, and I have the strangest feeling he's close by." said Knuckles. "Come on, we have an EggRobo to find." yelled Tails who was already taking off. "Good. The idiots are taking the bait. Go ahead, destroy yourselves." grunted Robotnik who was watching everything from hidden camaras. The time will come when I rule everything." he laughed. Now, to take care of General Spot's group." Chapter 3: Excitement Stirs "General, we just can't wait for Sonic. We have to bring this thing down!" told Commander Chippery. "I guess you're right. Move the group forward." ordered Spot. The group was going along until they reached a hallway where there was no way through. There were three holes in the wall, and all of a sudden guns started poking through the holes. "Take cover!" yelled Spot who dived behind the corner. "Concentrate all fire for those holes!" he yelled. Lasers filled the air along with smoke. And screams. "There you are. All nice and snug." smirked Robo Knux who had just tied Julie-Su to a pole. "Have fun." he laughed as he exited the room. "Jerk!" she yelled. "I guess I'm in a real jam now." she muttered. "Control, this is SHU: Omega, requesting boarding operation." came a small, faint request over the com. "Roger Shuttle Omega. You are clear." replied the Gunner. The shuttle flew low and then stopped in mid air. A long tube came out and attached to it. Three figures came out of the tube. Two EggRobos, and a short, long-nosed idiot. "Aah, Snively, how nice of you to join us here." laughed Robotnik. Snively was at another base in some arctic regions eliminating threats there. Now he had returned and this meant trouble. "Umm, yes Uncle Julian. It's great to be back." replied Snively. "Give me that." said Spot who took the cylinder object from a bird. He pushed a button and chucked it over near the wall. A large explosion was heard as well as robot parts seen. "Clear here. Let's keep going." ordered Spot. Tails nearly collided with Robo Knux who was walking around the corner. "You? Oh no. You see, I don't know anything." Robo Knux started muttering. "Something tells me you're covering up something. Where is Julie-Su?" asked Knux calmly. "I don't know where your girlfriend is, you idiot." smirked R.K. "Really? Fine. We'll just clobber you for fun then." added Sonic who started hitting his palm. The three closed in on Robo Knux and the rest is self-explanatory. Meanwhile, Julie-Su was working on getting the ropes untied. "Almost, got it." she smiled. She rubbed her wrists. She also saw a huge red line going across her stomach. "That'll go away in a few days. It didn't matter. She was free. Just as she walked out of the room, she met up with Silver Sonic. "TARGET: JULIE-SU ECHIDNA. STATUS: GAURDIAN/ENEMY. ACTION: NEUTRALIZE" Silver's computer told him. Silver Sonic stood still without making a sound or moving which caused Julie-Su to belive he was acting haywire. Ok, I'll just walk past him." she started. Up ahead she saw Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles beating up Robo Knux. "Hey guys, I'm over here." she yelled. The three were busy with their work. "They're like boys with toys." she laughed and headed over there. Two metal hands clamped over her. One over the mouth and one around her waist. Whatever it was, it was STRONG! She was carried off by a silver hedgehog. "Back you go." laughed Silver Sonic who tied her up with metal chain this time. "I'll get you." she snarled. "You want to fight me?" smirked Silver Sonic. "Yeah, if you're bold enough." she asked. "Very well, I shall beat you and then crush you." he snorted as he untied the chains. "Let us go and fight." he ordered. Julie responded with a drop kick to the chest plate, but ended up spraining her foot. "I am solid steel you fool, you actually think you can defeat me like that?" he responded. "Oh yeah, how about this?" she said while punching him in visor. "Ow, you cheat." she complained. Silver Sonic smirked and kicked her in the head. "You and the Guardians will all die." he laughed. He picked her up and threw her into a table. "You're good. But not good enough." he laughed again. "You actually think you can defeat Silver Sonic?" he laughed yet again and backed up. Julie-Su was on the ground gasping for air. Silver jetted over to her and kicked her like a football in the belly. Air gone from her lungs, she fainted. "Wimp." he snarled as he tied her up again and left for the shuttle. Knuckles picked up his counterpart and threw him out the window never to be seen again. Once out of sight, R.K. ignited his rockets and headed for Wing Fortress. Chapter 4: Mixed Feelings Spot looked carefully through the scope of his gun. He saw a SWATbot and fired at it's mechanical head. The head was soon gone and the rest of the robot dropped. He took out three more like this until the group proceded. "This is the room. It's locked. Commander, give me the explosives." ordered Spot. "Yes sir." replied Com. Chippery who gave him some TNT. "Get back." yelled Spot who jumped around the corner. The door gave away as the troops stormed into the room. Two were shot down by some EggRobos, which were quickly taken down by Spot. "Give me that last explosive." said Spot who grabbed the block of TNT. "I'm setting this thing for 10 minutes. Let's get the heck outta' here!" he yelled as he and his men exited the room and headed for the hanger. "T-9 minutes, 15 seconds." "*Cough, Cough*" Julie-Su started to stir again. With not enough energy, her head fell. "T-9 minutes" After about six minutes of running through the complex, the three encountered a blown up door. The generator room. They looked around the place and saw two broken robots, and two dead mobians. "Hey guys, there's a bomb on this thing. It's set to go off in three minutes. We gotta' run." yelled Tails who was already climbing into the vent. "What about Julie-Su?" yelled Knux. "She's probably on Wing Fortress, it's either her or all of us." yelled Sonic who was helped into the vent by Tails. Knux followed them. "T-2 minutes" A shuttle flew away from the Death Egg and shortly docked in Wing Fortress. Aboard this shuttle was the infamous EggRobo along with some NSWATbots. Just then the ship was rocked by thermo-nuclear fireworks outside the ship. "Shields are getting low." reported an NSWATbot. "Intensify the forward shields, I don't want anything to get through." ordered the EggRobo. On the ground little shells were hitting the ground. "WARNING. HOSTILE TARGETS AHEAD." reported the computer of the shuttle. "What is it?" yelled the EggRobo. "Three renegade ESWATbots." stated the head NSWATbot. True to his word, three ESWATbots were hitting the ship with a new type of weapon. More explosions rocked the ship. Those aren't Vulcan Cannons." said the EggRobo as he was thrown to the floor. "No sir, Vauss Cannons." reported an NSWATbot. "Fire Napalm Missles." ordered the EggRobo. "Launching Napalm Missles." reported the computer as two missles headed towards the ESWATbots. They fled, but they were caught in the fire from contact. Two went down, the other escaped, burned very badly. More fire rocked the ship. "What the heck now?" yelled the EggRobo. Red lasers hit the shuttle. "EJECT!" yelled the EggRobo as a small pod circled around him and was released from the ship. The pod went towards Wing Fortress as the shuttle was blown away and a HoverCraft went flying through it. "Scratch one shuttle." smirked Spot who turned the craft around and headed towards the Great Forest. "3, 2, 1, DETONATION!" The whole generator room went up in fire as the Death Egg was rocked by explosions. The three heroes were crawling like mad through the vents as the fire behind them started gaining. They finally jumped out of the shaft into open sky. They did some action poses as the fire licked them from behind. Julie-Su woke up only to find that everything was exploding around her. She was an escape artist and quickly ditched the chains. She tried jumping out the window. "Ah! My jacket is too big!" she yelled before she was engulfed by a white light. As soon as that happened, Death Egg exploded into a fireball, and was nothing a minutelater. "NOOOO!" yelled Knux from the ground as he cried. They had beaten the odds, but lost a girlfriend doing it. Sonic and Tails gathered around him and expressed their sorrow. "I hate my life! Why did this happen?" yelled Knuckles. "Wait a minute, where's Amy?" asked Tails. "Oh, she's with Spot." replied Sonic. "Oh, don't worry Knuckles, we'll get rid of that Eggman one day...." But on Flying Battery, it was a different story. "YES!" yelled Robotnik. "One less echidna!" he shouted. The EggRobo approached him. "Sir, one thousand diamonds and counting." reported the EggRobo. "Good. Secure the cargo hold. Have the TECHbots create a device that could turn the diamond's destructive power into power for Robotropolis." said Robotnik. "Very good sir." replied the EggRobo as he walked off. Robotnik turned around and opened his fist. "This diamond IS forever." he snorted as he closed his fist again. What will happen when there's diamonds everywhere? Did Julie-Su make it out?
